COVER LETTER

Hello,

    

Almost 8 years ago, I learned the basics of cinematography in a short film class. It was over the course of two weekends, and I had to learn how to do script writing, filming, and editing a short film for a festival at 15 years old. In 2015, I knew I was going into the production job field so I could enjoy what I did for the rest of my life. You know the saying…

 

In 2018, I graduated high school and moved 10 hours away from home to pursue broadcast journalism at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, and in 3 and a half short years, I graduated early in December 2021. During that time, I dipped my toes in the different areas of broadcasting, from esports to script writing, content creation and even digital motion graphics. I love the ins and outs of the digital media world and truly believe this is what I was made to do. 

With that being said, I feel that I have an adequate skill set in all things production. Live studio shooting, pre-production, post-production, audio, lighting, color correcting, motion graphics, and on-screen talent. I have experience with content creation as well. I have a good understanding of Canva, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator.

I think it is also important to mention that I have additional skills that are vital for the environment that I plan to work in. Under pressure, I can stay focused and drive through the problem or job at hand. As evidenced by my YouTube channel, I can bring creativity, innovation and initiative to any job I do. I handle leadership positions with ease. Communication, which comes naturally to me, is important in the workplace. I understand it’s absolutely necessary for an atmosphere like a production studio that constantly requires communicating and reciprocating what is asked of someone. As an added cherry on top, I am a very fast learner who isn't afraid to ask questions and take initiative.
